Vaccinated persons in high-transmission regions should wear masks, according to the CDC. What exactly does that imply?
Today. Even vaccinated persons in America should wear masks indoors if they are in locations where the COVID-19 virus is highly transmissible, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Persons with underlying illnesses that make them more susceptible to the coronavirus, as well as anyone living with vulnerable people, should wear masks, according to the guidelines. Teachers, school personnel, students, and visitors within schools from kindergarten to 12th grade are all subject to the new advice, which recommends that everyone wear a mask.
Masks are suggested to be prevalent indoors once again for vaccinated persons in just under half of the counties in the country — which have high transmissibility.
Counties with significant U.S. metropolitan centers, such as Los Angeles, St. Louis, and Miami-Dade, are among the counties with high transmission.
Officials say a chemical plant spill in La Porte, Texas, has killed two people and wounded seven more
A chemical spill at a facility in a Houston suburb Tuesday night killed two workers and wounded seven others, according to company authorities.

The incident occurred at 7:35 p.m., when “LyondellBasell La Porte sought help from La Porte EMS reporting a mass casualty event at their plant,” according to Lee Woodward, La Porte’s public information officer.
Democrats’ opinion of the Supreme Court is declining, while Republicans are also dissatisfied, according to a survey
WASHINGTON, D.C. — At least one thing that Democrats, Republicans, and Independents can agree on is that no one is satisfied with the Supreme Court.
In a Gallup survey released Wednesday, Americans’ support in the nation’s highest court fell to its lowest point in four years, falling below 50% for the first time since 2017. The work the justices are doing is approved by 49% of the public, down from 58 percent a year earlier.
However, at a time when the country is split on almost everything, the survey found that the Supreme Court is perceived equally by Democrats and Republicans, probably due to the modest number of high-profile judgments made during the term that concluded this month.
Buy American: Biden wants the government to buy more parts manufactured in the United States
WASHINGTON, D.C. — According to new guidelines proposed by the Biden administration on Wednesday, products purchased by the federal government must have a larger percentage of American parts in order to be labeled “made in America.”
President Joe Biden is scheduled to push the reforms during a trip to Pennsylvania, where he will tour a Mack Trucks plant and meet with members of the United Auto Workers.
More than 1,500 Mack vehicles are in the federal fleets.
“This is all part of his attempt to raise awareness and discuss his ‘Buy American’ agenda, as well as the infrastructure package,” White House press secretary Jen Psaki, said on Tuesday.
