A Clay County girl has been charged with second-degree homicide after she admitted to taking pictures and killing her husband, in keeping with a report from the Clay County Sheriff’s Workplace.
The report states that 39-year-old Melissa Gholson, of Orange Park, confessed to taking pictures and killing her husband, 36-year-old David Gholson, in a recorded interview with investigators.
Based on the report, Melissa Gholson said she was bored with arguing and needed it to cease.
The report says Melissa Gholson admitted to arguing together with her husband Saturday, when she pointed the gun at him, pulling the set off. The report states that the gun clicked, however a bullet was not within the chamber.
She then advised police, the report says, that her husband bumped into the storage and he or she ran after him, firing the gun. The report says she shot him a number of occasions.
Melissa Gholson, in keeping with deputies, left the physique within the storage in a single day, watched TV and slept on the sofa. The report says she then advised police she awoke, ran errands and went to her sister’s home, the place she confessed to killing her husband.
She’s been charged with second-degree homicide and was taken to the Clay County Jail.
