Full-time Oral Surgery Assistant needed for high-quality, busy oral surgery practice. We seek a motivated team player committed to providing excellent Care to our patients. Experience is a plus, but will train the right person.
What You Will Do –
Our ideal candidate will have the ability to complete the following tasks, as well as other assigned and related duties:

• Prepare and sterilize surgical instruments, materials, and equipment in accordance with infection control and biohazard protocols.
• Prepare patient charts, record treatment plans, and update health records.
• Assist the surgeon with all chairside procedures including operatory setup, anesthesia administration, and cleanup.
• Prepare patients for surgery and monitor vital signs during procedures.
• Provide patients with information on oral health care, treatment plans, and postoperative outcomes.
• Monitor our stock of surgical supplies and medication and replenish, as needed.
• Ensure that instruments and equipment are effectively maintained.
• Provide exceptional patient care at all times.

What You Will Bring –
Our ideal candidate will have relevant experience and the following credentials/skills:

• Previous experience as a dental assistant or surgical technician preferred
• Sound knowledge of how to use surgical equipment, instruments, and materials.
• A good understanding of surgical techniques, chairside responsibilities, and health and safety protocols.
• Great organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• The ability to provide exceptional patient care in both calm and stressful circumstances.
