(2) POSITION: DENTAL HYGIENISTS  36 hours a week (M-F)

Place of Employment: On-site in the Health Services Department at the FCC Coleman Complex located at 846 N.E. 54th Terrace Coleman, Florida 33521

Start Date: TBD  pending credentialing

Estimated Annual Salary: $76,806.00 – $79,866.00

  • Hourly Rate: $38.25 paid per hour to include (base rate of $34.02 plus $4.23 H&W paid per hour)

  • Paid Vacation: Two (2) weeks paid vacation after one (1) year of service with a contractor or successor, three (3) weeks after five (5) years, and four (4) weeks after 15 years. Length of service includes the whole span of continuous service with the present contractor or successor, wherever employed, and with the predecessor contractors in the performance of similar work at the same Federal facility. (Reg. 29 CFR 4.173)

  • Paid Holidays: Minimum of ten (11) paid holidays per calendar year at eight (8) hours pay each holiday: New Years Day, Martin Luther King, Jr. Birthday, Washingtons Birthday, Memorial Day, Juneteenth National Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.

  • Paid Sick Leave (Executive Order 13706)  Paid 56 hours per year (One (1) hour accrual per every 30 hours work).

  • Direct Deposit Pay Dates: (Pay dates on the 10th & 25th of each month) for the work period of the 1st  15th of each month the pay date is the 25th of each month. For the work period of the 16th  the last day of each month the pay date is the 10th of the following month.

WORK SCHEDULE:

Dental Hygienist will normally work, Monday through Friday (except Federal holidays), normally between the hours of 8:00 a.m. – 3:30 with a 30-minute unpaid lunch period. The Dental Hygienists schedule shall be an estimated 36 hours per week. These schedules are subject to change based on the variable needs of the institution(s) and the unpredictable nature of the correctional environment.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

The Dental Hygienists shall possess specialty training from a licensed dentist and/or certification from an accredited Dental Hygienists University Program. The Dental Hygienists shall be certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) in accordance with the American Red Cross or the American Heart Association and have a minimum of one (1) year of experience providing Dental Hygienist services. Bilingual oral communication skills and experience in a clinical correctional setting are desirable.
