SIMMS, Texas – Three folks died in an explosion and hearth Tuesday evening west of Simms in Bowie County.
Hearth Marshal Scotty Taylor mentioned two males and a girl had been in a workshop subsequent to a house at 160 County Street 4242 when the explosion occurred.
Bowie County Sheriff’s Workplace has recognized the victims as Steven Granbery, 60, his 55-year-old spouse, Cynthia, and William Barnes, 65, all of Simms. The Granberys owned the property the place the hearth occurred.Â
Three hearth division, Simms, DeKalb and Maud, responded to the decision with between 35 and 40 firefighters.
Taylor mentioned many of the hearth was out in half-hour.
He mentioned the reason for the explosion and hearth is beneath investigation.
