Man charged for stealing SUV with youngster inside in Raleigh, main police on chase ending in Cary

CARY, N.C. (WTVD) — A 20-year-old man has been charged for allegedly stealing a car with a baby inside late Sunday.

It occurred round 11:30 p.m. close to the intersection of Tryon Highway and Gorman Road.

The automotive was stolen from the parking zone of a comfort retailer and a 14-year-old lady was inside on the time.

She was capable of soar out of the automotive in a close-by neighborhood and was returned to her household.

Police noticed the car a short while later and tried to cease the driving force, who has been recognized as Morteza Zakeri.

That is when authorities say Zakeri led them on a chase ending on Kildaire Farm Highway in Cary.

He jumped from the automotive and ran off, police mentioned, however was ultimately taken into custody.

He’s charged with first-degree kidnapping, felony flee/elude arrest with motorcar and larceny of a motorcar in reference to the incident.
