FHP investigates after truck runs over man sleeping subsequent to the street in deadly crash

FORT MYERS, Fla.– Florida Freeway Patrol troopers responded to a lethal crash early on Monday morning.

A Chevy Pickup truck was driving on Bayshore Gardens Parkway whereas approaching a curve. The 40-year-old man driving ran off the street and into the grassy shoulder.

A 68-year-old man was sleeping within the space subsequent to the street with a blanket and his issues. The truck ran him over, killing him.

Officers pronounced the pedestrian useless on the scene of the crash.

FHP is actively investigating the deadly crash.
