BROWNSVILLE, Texas (CBSDFW.COM) – U.S. Customs and Border Safety officers on the Veterans Worldwide Bridge intercepted a load of methamphetamine, hidden inside a 1997 Freightliner truck.

The seizure passed off on Friday, Oct. 22, on the Veterans Worldwide Bridge when a 60-year-old male Mexican citizen utilized for entry into america driving the truck. CBP officers found 62 buckets which contained a complete of two,444.92 kilos of methamphetamine.
The estimated avenue worth of the methamphetamine from the seizure is $48,898,072.
